Join us for a very special outing to the Channel Islands!
Santa Rosa Island supports a very interesting and unique flora. Over forty kinds of plants restricted to the California Channel Islands are found on this spectacular island. We will have a chance to see a number of unique Channel Islands plants, as well as the Santa Rosa Island manzanita (Arctostaphylos confertiflora) and the Santa Rosa Island Torrey pine (Pinus torreyana subsp. insularis), both of which are restricted to the island.
- Our 9-passenger plane will be departing from Camarillo Airport at 9:00am
- The 30-minute flight to Santa Rosa will also take us over Santa Cruz Island and the Santa Barbara Channel, offering amazing views
- After landing, we will be able to spend about 6 hours exploring the historic ranch complex and the northeastern portion of the island
